The below album is some shots as we cleaned the "theater" on the lower lever of Turner's Opry House, where we will soon be having all our services, Lord willing and as He provides for us.

We would really appreciate your prayers for us as we continue our "journey" to establish Open Door Baptist Church and reach folks for the Lord before His return.

Our first service in the "theater" at Turner's Opry House, Sunday June 7, 2009 and our special BBQ Chicken Dinner fundraiser.  We praise the Lord that something over 100 people came out to eat with us, listen to some good gospel music, check our the meeting place and wish us much success on our journey.  Here are a few pictures of the event.

Here we are on our first "adventure" as participants in a parade.  This is the Fourth of July (2009)  parade as the Shoals Volunteer Fire Department around Pinnacle, NC.  We enjoyed it very much and was able to distribute many flyers and brochures advertising our church.  We pray the Lord will speak to many people about our church and eternal things.

Another "first" for us was the Ordination and installation of our first Deacon, which took place in our Sunday evening service on August 2, 2009.  After the service we enjoyed a fellowship meal together put together by our ladies of the church.  A special treat was provided by our "landlord" Mark Turner who is the owner of the business where we are renting our space for the church.  Mark provided a sandwich tray and also cooked tenderloin biscuits!  We were in "hog heaven"...so to speak!

We are thankful for all the help and assistance which has been provided for us by Mark and Debbie Turner here at  Turner's Opry House.  If you like a place with a nice family atmosphere with no alcohol / tobacco that you can come to on Friday or Saturday nights to enjoy some clean fun, good food and music, then this is the place for you.  When you come, mention that you saw it on our web site.

Thursday night is for Teens...a night of good clean entertainment and food, coffee and soft drinks, with no alcohol, tobacco or drugs.

 And away we go to our new location.  The Lord has given us a building with lots of highway exposure and traffic.  We praise the Lord for His bountiful provision.  Enjoy the photos and send us a note if you will.  We would love to hear from you.
